So...lupus is flaring, stress levels are at all time highs, tons of work to be done. Best thing to do over the weekend: get some work done (check), get some rest, take it easy, right? Right.
So what did I do? Yeah. Agreed to go on 12 mile hike. *facepalm* And then it started raining. Since I have Raynaud's, this plus the cold Alaska weather meant technicolor fingers. Which lost feeling. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Now my hips hurt like crazy. I justified all of this by saying, hey, it's ok...I'm getting a steroid infusion on Tuesday, so that'll take care of the flare and any symptoms thereof. Which may or may not be true, but boy am I living on caffeine today. With a presentation starting in 20 minutes and the energy level of a stoned sloth. Fun times.
I admire optimists.
ReplyDeleteThere's a fine line between optimism and utter stupidity...
