Chronic Fatigue Syndrome--Washington Post

I recommend this article for those of us who suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), or those who know someone who does. (I've yet to find a lupus patient who doesn't suffer from CFS, so the two, in my mind, are interrelated topics).

"Yes, we need a sound, accepted definition, but we also need so much more. It’s time to treat patients with respect, to move beyond political squabbling and to make an investment in researching this illness that is in proportion to the devastation it causes."

  1. Lupus, an autoimmune disease, happens when the immune system attacks its tissues, causing inflammation, swelling, pain, and damage. Lupus symptoms include fatigue, joint pain, fever, and a lupus rash.
