Team Lupetta

I didn't get a photo of everyone, but here are a couple photos from our team at the ALR walk! We ended up raising over $3000, and I managed to walk the entire 5K, although I did have to use my cane.

  1. I'm so glad. I was praying for clouds, but I was inside much of the day, so I don't know how sunny it got. I hope you don't suffer after effects.

  2. Congratulation. I hope you do not pay to high a price for all the sun exposure. I am happy to see you were able to do the whole walk outside. Way to go Sam!

  3. Hi Sam! I've recently found your blog and am enjoying catching up on your informative posts. I couldn't find a place to shoot you a private message and this doesn't relate too much to this post but had a quick question for you. I have just recently been diagnosed with an auto immune disease (as of official dx last week!) and other than my whole world being tilted upside down I am scavenging for as much info as possible. I too suffer from photosensitivity (which has only recently started up) and wanted some recommendations if you have any. For daily wear I have just recently started wearing Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 45 and so far it is pretty good but not as effective as I would like. Do you have a favorite moisturizer/sunscreen you swear by that gets the job done?
Looking forward to reading along and know that all of my responses will not be so superficial! Ha.

  4. Hi Lisa! I'm so sorry to hear about your diagnosis. As for sunblocks, I use Neutrogena's Ultra Sheer Dry Touch SPF 100. My rheumatologist said that bumping it up to 100 really does matter. I also use a face-powder by Physician's Formula that is SPF 55.
