Wow.

I just got into Harvard. Now I have to choose between Harvard and Johns Hopkins. My first choice is Hopkins, but I guess I'd better see what kind of financial packages they each offer before making my final decision.

P.S. Mom and Dad: you now owe me...3 gluten-free pies! :)

  1. Yay Sam! Well it certainly has been a wonderful day of good news for you! What a delightful dilemma of having to choose schools. And may the surgery+Benlysta combo be a resounding success. Congratulations on your success, and caring doctors.

    1. Thanks! I would never have believed it possible for me to be in a situation wherein I have to choose between two such major Ivy League schools. Surreal!

  2. Congratulations! That's wonderful news! On par with yesterday's news about the insurance covering the medication.

    1. Thank you!! And it comes with the rhuematologist's relenting and letting me have the Benlysta next week until waiting until after my wrist surgeries! Made for a good end of the work week!

    1. Sadly, I'd very happily trade a new cane for the pies. Truly, I am an undercover 90 year old in a young woman's body.

  5. It's hard to pity someone facing a tough decision like that--Harvard or Johns Hopkins. I like Cambridge better than Baltimore, but that's just my own bias. I've spent more time under Baltimore than in it (having spent everying night-before-Thanksgiving of my youth stuck in a traffic jam in the Baltimore Harbor tunnel. But then, you do have Maryland genes. They're both good choices. Congratulations.
